Jewelry and Watches

The island of Aruba got its name from the ancient gold miners. Aruba means "red gold" ("ore" for gold + "ruba" for red.) The miners have long since gone and now instead, the tourists come searching for gold. These days, they have a tendency to find it in the luxurious jewelry shops of Aruba along with diamonds, emeralds, and more! There are jewelry stores in many of the hotels, but the best selections are in Oranjestad.

Our favorite jewelry store by far is Gemani. We work with Max and he is a master at helping me find exactly the right piece. He listens carefully to my ideas and then finds what I'm looking for not what he wants me to buy. I really appreciate Max's patience and the excellent prices and selection offered by Gemani. I highly recommend you stop by Gemani and tell them Holly from ArubaHouse sent you.
